Audit
Audit keeps the record of actions taken in your organization. Use it when you need to answer "who published this version?", "when was the review approved?", or "was there any change to a project in the last few days?".
Questions it answers
- Who created, changed, or published a project, version, or test case.
- When a review was opened, approved, or rejected.
- What integration actions (Git, webhooks, identity) happened.
- Whether there's unusual movement that deserves investigation.
How to consult
- Open Governance → Audit.
- Use the filters to find what you need:
- Free text — project, person, or entity name.
- Entity type — project, version, review, case, integration.
- Period — last hours, days, weeks, or a custom range.
- The screen shows matches and lets you open details on each.
The top bar shows quick metrics: number of events, reviews, snapshots, and cases in the selected period.
Who can access
Audit is a sensitive feature. Only roles with audit permission see the screen. If the menu doesn't appear, talk to the person responsible for the organization. Details in Roles and permissions.
Best practices
- Combine RuleForge audit with your identity provider's audit (who signed in, when) for a full picture.
- Review periodically — a simple routine (monthly, say) already catches off-pattern behavior.
- When investigating an incident, start by filtering by period and the person or project involved.
