First access

This is the first step for anyone who just received access to RuleForge. Pick the path that matches your situation.

I got an invitation by email

The most common case. An admin in your organization sent you an invitation.

  1. Open the link from the email.
  2. The screen shows the organization and role you'll receive.
  3. If you don't have an account yet:
    • enter your name;
    • set a password;
    • confirm.
  4. If you already have an account:
    • sign in with your current password to link access to the new organization.

If the link has expired, ask for a new invitation — they expire for security reasons.

My company uses corporate SSO

If your team has enabled SSO with OIDC:

  1. On the login screen, enter your work email.
  2. RuleForge recognizes the domain and redirects you to your company's identity provider.
  3. Sign in with the credentials you already use for other tools.
  4. You come back to RuleForge signed in.

In this mode, you don't set a password in RuleForge — your provider handles that.

I forgot my password

  1. On the login screen, click Forgot password.
  2. Enter your email.
  3. Open the link that arrives.
  4. Set a new password.

For security, RuleForge does not confirm whether the email exists. You'll see a "link sent" message even if no email actually went out (when the address isn't registered).

I'm in. What next?

After your first sign-in, we recommend, in order:

  1. Read the overview to understand how the product organizes work.
  2. Open the quickstart to create your first project.
  3. Check navigation and context to find each area.

Common issues

"Invitation expired"

Ask your organization admin for a new invitation.

"I can't accept with my existing account"

Confirm you're using the current password for your existing RuleForge account. If you've forgotten it, use "Forgot password" first, then accept the invitation.

"I didn't get the email"

  • Check your spam folder.
  • Ask the admin to confirm the address on the invitation.
  • If your company filters external email, ask IT to allow the RuleForge domain.
