Navigation and context

The interface is organized around what you're trying to do. This page helps you find each area and understand how "context" influences what you see.

Main areas

Day-to-day work

  • Dashboard — organization overview.
  • Projects — where work happens.
  • Editor — where you write and validate rules.
  • Cases — the project's repeatable tests.
  • Regression — runs cases in batches.
  • Decoders and Rules — the active content catalog.
  • Reports — consolidated impact view.

Reviews and publishing

  • Reviews — the approval flow.
  • Versions — the project's formal releases.
  • Audit — who did what.

Settings

  • Account — your data, switch organization.
  • Members — who's in the organization.
  • Billing — plan and limits.
  • Integrations — Git, pipelines, webhooks, API keys.
  • Identity — SSO and automatic provisioning.

Organization context

RuleForge always operates within an active organization — shown at the top of the screen. If you belong to more than one, you can switch from the account menu.

Many access problems turn out to be "I'm in the wrong organization." "I can't see my projects" usually means exactly that. Always confirm before troubleshooting further.

Project context

Several screens depend on the active project:

  • Project overview
  • Editor
  • Cases
  • Regression
  • Reports
  • Project reviews, versions, and audit

Select the right project before operating on any of these.

Items that depend on plan and role

Some menus only appear for users with permission (for example, Integrations and Identity are admin-only) or depending on the contracted plan (reviews, versions, SSO). If you think you should see an option and don't, confirm your role with whoever administrates the organization.
